Nine days after Eartha Kitt died on Christmas, Pat Hingle lost his battle with blood cancer at age 84.

Hingle’s acting career spanned more than 50 years, but his most recognizable role probably was as Commissioner James Gordon in Tim Burton’s “Batman” movie and its three sequels. Kitt was the second actress to portray Catwoman in the “Batman” television series of the late 1960s. So I’m wondering, if there is truth to the old adage that says celebrities die three at a time, will that apply to the celluloid world of Batman?
