A baseball note from The New York Times:

The Yankees will probably wear red caps for the first time in their history on May 25 at Texas. Major League Baseball has issued red caps for all teams, incorporating a flag design within the team logo, to be worn on Memorial Day, July 4 weekend and Sept. 11. The Yankees have not officially agreed to wear the cap — which was blue last season — but they seem likely to go along with it.

Hey Yankees — Get over yourselves! You’re the only ones who care that you’ve never worn red caps. Don’t worry, nobody will confuse you for your hated rivals, the Boston Red Sox. And red caps won’t keep people out of the expensive seats at your precious new Yankee Stadium — the outrageous ticket prices will!

I’m sure the Yankees-loving broadcasters on ESPN are firmly behind their favorite team on this all-important matter.
